I was so excited that my hubby was taking me to a lake in the 100 degree temp! Well there are a few lakes in the Tonto national forest. Roosevelt lake , Apache and Canyon lake are all part of the Salt river basin. Apache lake is formed by Horse Mesa Dam that was completed in 1927.They all have marinas, for your boat! Some people even live in their boat! So, if you love to boat race , fish , hike, I would highly suggest you go to any of these gems in the desert!!!!!
